MANUFACTURING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

 

Length of program: Up to two years.

 

Goal: To provide a well-rounded introduction to all phases of the cement manufacturing process including safety, environmental monitoring and compliance, operations, reliability and maintenance of equipment and systems, quality control, process control, leadership and management skills, marketing and sales, product use, application and troubleshooting.

 

Reporting: Assigned a plant mentor/training coordinator who will periodically review your progress.

 

Completion: Promoted to applicable position at a manufacturing facility upon successful completion of the program.Compensation: Competitive salary and benefit package provided.Assistance: Relocation assistance provided.

CHEMIST DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

 

Length of program: Twelve months in length while training at different locations.

 

Goal: To provide a well-rounded introduction to all phases of the cement manufacturing process with an emphasis on geology, quarry development and planning, raw material sampling and quality, raw material blending and proportioning, cement chemistry, laboratory equipment operation and maintenance, process effects on product quality, quality database management, leadership and management skills, marketing and sales, product use, application and troubleshooting.

 

Reporting: Assigned to a chief chemist who periodically will review your progress.

 

Completion: Promoted to applicable position at a manufacturing facility upon successful completion of the program.

 

Compensation: A competitive salary and benefit package provided.Assistance: Paid housing during training period.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

 

Length of program: Twelve weeks during your junior and/or senior year.

 

Goal: To provide a well-rounded introduction to all phases of the cement manufacturing process including safety, environmental monitoring and compliance, operations, reliability and maintenance of equipment and systems, and quality control. You will be assigned projects during the summer internship and present your findings to senior management.

 

Reporting: Assigned a plant mentor/training coordinator who periodically will review your progress.

 

Compensation: A competitive salary and housing provided along with travel reimbursement to and from the facility.
