Monica Manolas is the President of Ash Grove South. Monica brings over 20 years of experience in the construction materials industry, with senior-level roles in the cement manufacturing, pipe, precast, block and ready-mix concrete businesses.
Manolas started her career as a chemist in the Cement Division of Rinker Materials and subsequently held a series of progressive roles in operations, strategic intelligence, human resources, general management and sales at Rinker, CEMEX and now CRH.
Manolas holds a B.S from the University of Miami, a Masters in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, a Masters of Jurisprudence from Tulane University Law School, and an MBA from the University of Florida.
In 2014, Florida Governor Rick Scott, appointed Manolas to the Florida Concrete Masonry Educational Council, where she served on the Board of Directors and Past Chairwoman. Manolas has also been active in a number of industry associations and community organizations including serving on the Board of Directors of the Portland Cement Association, the Florida Concrete & Products Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, Executive Women of the Palm Beaches Foundation (Past President), and the regional leadership council of Leadership Florida.
Jeff Montz is the Vice President of Finance at Ash Grove South.
Remus Ianc is the Vice President of Operations at Ash Grove South and Ash Grove North. Remus Ianc brings over 22 years of international experience in manufacturing and operational performance improvement, with senior-level roles at cement plants and country corporate.
Ianc started his career with Lafarge as cement plant process engineer than held incremental management roles in Lafarge and CRH. In 2019 he joined the team in Florida as Director of Operational Excellence coming from CRH Romania where he was in charge with the Aggregate and Concrete Business. In his previous assignments he was in charge with cement manufacturing for CRH Romania.
He was appointed to his current position as Vice President of Manufacturing in 2020.
Ianc holds a B.S. from Technical University Cluj-Napoca Romania in Engineering of Industrial Production Systems
Dana Moran is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Ash Grove South. Dana Moran’s career in the building materials industry started nearly 40 years ago as a sales representative with Florida Rock. Since then, Moran has held progressive positions within sales at RMC Industries, Blue Circle, Lafarge NA, and Votorantim.
Moran began his tenure with then start up the company in 2003 as the Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Distribution. He was totally responsible for all marketing and distribution functions of a one million ton/year cement operation and a six million ton/year aggregate operation.
He was promoted to his current position as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2018.
Dana holds a B.B.A. in accounting and a M.B.A in business administration, both from Valdosta State University. He currently is is a Board Member of the Southeast Cement Association and has previously served as Chairman of the Florida Concrete and Products Association. Moran is also actively involved in various industry related associations.
Hal Boudreau is the Vice President of Commercial at Ash Grove South. Hal worked at an infrastructure consulting engineering firm for 11 years before jumping into the cement industry with Ash Grove in 2015.
He was promoted to his current position as Vice President of Commercial in 2021.
Hal holds a BS in Civil Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Florida. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Florida and has multiple publications on infrastructure.
Chad Melita is the Vice President of Sales and Logistics for Ash Grove South. Prior to joining Ash Grove in 2019 Chad worked in the Fly Ash industry for 20 years in Florida and the Mid-Atlantic region. He held leadership roles in Sales, Product Development, and Innovation.
He was promoted to his current position as Vice President of Sales and Logistics in 2021.
Chad holds a degree in History and certification in Markets and Management Study, both from Duke University. Chad completed the Australian Graduate School of Management’s Management and Leadership Development Program in Sydney, Australia in 2012.
He is a past Board Member for the Florida Concrete & Products Association and is an active member of Florida Independent Concrete & Associated Products. Chad enjoys spending his free time trying to locate his golf ball.
Priscila Delfino Piucco is the HR Director for Ash Grove South and brings over 15 years of leadership experience in retail, manufacturing, and hospitality industries.
She started her leadership career in Brazil, and prior to joining Ash Grove in 2017, Priscila’s work included customer focused account management roles with a reputation for driving business growth and leading high performing teams.
Piucco holds a degree in Business and Economics from the University of Florida. While in college, she published a research paper titled “Social Media and Big Data: Implications for Political Campaigning and Governing”. She has been a SHRM Certified professional since 2018.
Priscila enjoys spending her free time traveling with her family and playing volleyball with friends.
Kenneth Braaten is the Health & Safety Director at Ash Grove South and brings over 10 years of experience in occupational health and safety. Kenneth entered the cement industry with Ash Grove in 2019.
Braaten is a 3rd generation miner who realized his passion for health and safety working in the gold mining industry out west. He leveraged his professional experience in customer service, training, and general business acumen to drive efficiencies and implement industry best practices. His focus on team engagement, innovation, and collaboration with leadership resulted in a strong health and safety culture amongst the diverse workgroups.
Braaten holds a BS in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. He has obtained industry certifications to include MSHA instruction, Hazmat Response and CAOHC. He served as a Mine Rescue Captain and is a registered Emergency Medical Technician.
Tom Messer is the Plant Manager for Ash Grove South at the Branford Cement Plant. Messer has over 40 years of cement manufacturing experience. He dedicated 25 of those years being involved with Process and Production roles as well as being a Production Manager for both domestic and international cement producers.
Mr. Messer has worked abroad on international assignments and spent a total of one year in Brazil.
Mr. Messer started his tenure at the Branford facility 17 years ago as Production manager and has held the role of Plant Manager for 15 years.
Messer is a six-sigma black belt, and completed Penn States’ Executive Leadership Program through their Business School (Smeal School of Business). Messer has attended countless industry related training and seminars both in the U.S. and internationaly over the past 40 years.
Dirk Cox is the Plant Manager for Ash Grove South at the Sumterville Cement Plant and has managed six other cement plants. Cox has 40 + years of experience in the cement industry and holds an engineering degree from the Virginia Military Institute in addition to attending executive management courses at Duke, Thunderbird, Stanford, and a nearly complete MBA. He has an associate’s degree in accounting.
Cox has held plant positions in safety training, engineering, production, maintenance, new plant project management, new plant commissioning, and corporate engineering.
