By the end of 2001, nearly 37 000 organizations in 112 countries had their EMS certified as conforming to requirements of ISO 14001. Ash Grove South received its ISO 14000 certification in May of 2004.

Ash Grove South’s Current Air Permit Includes:

• Approval from EPA and Florida DEP that Best Available Control Technologies (BACT) were utilized, insuring the most technologically advanced pollution control equipment.
• Implementation of Maximum Achievable Controllable Technologies (MACT) from DEP and EPA requiring Ash Grove South to have among the lowest emission limits in the country.
• Requirements for Ash Grove South to continuously monitor emissions from its stacks with the latest technology.

Ash Grove South was designed with natural resources conservation as a principal factor.

• Ash Grove South is a zero discharge water facility discharging no wastewater or stormwater.
• All raw materials are stored in covered enclosures and all liquid fuel stored in double wall containers.
• Kiln System designed for maximum energy efficiency and water conservation.
